| The New Verne Verne Oliver Library Media Center is located in St. Augustine's School on the third floor. The library dedication was held on Sunday January 27, 2002. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and many of the schools supporters attended the wonderful event. Click on picture to see a larger view. Click "Back" button to return.. Mission Statement The Verne Oliver Library & Media Center provides the resources and services whereby students can become effective users of ideas and information and lifelong seekers of knowledge.The Library fosters the lifelong enjoyment of reading by providing quality literature appropriate for age level. The Library also provides curriculum support, research guidance, and other learning experiences to the students, faculty, staff, and parents of the school community. The Media Center, which is located in the Library, adds on-line resources to our collection and allows students to use computers to conduct research and create academic work at the same time. Profile Our 8,000 books and additional multi-media resources are easily searched and circulated by our automated system and will soon be networked to all classrooms. Student workstations have full internet access and word processing programs.
Mr. Augustine Rhem, the Librarian looks forward to working with each student during class visits or independent research periods. Parents are welcome to circulate our resources and browse our Parent Resource Collection either before or after school.
